My name is Meng Li, 李萌 in Chinese.
I studied Philosophy and Economics at University of British Columbia. The original purpose of this blog was to store and to share my drafts and notes during school days. Years later, this blog now is mainly to record and share my musical journey in playing Guqin.
I am a lifetime member of Vancouver Guqin Music Society.
I studied the Guangling style of Guqin under Lin Min, a student of Lin Youren and Mei Yueqiang.
Since 2025, my musical interests have gradually shifted toward exploring the connections between Guqin and other traditional practices, such as martial arts, calligraphy, and qigong.
I currently live in Hangzhou, and I only share my music occasionally, and only with close friends.

In it, I deliberately reveal certain features of fingering and expression shaped by my current musical understanding.
